The Race is Officially On

Yesterday was the last day to file a petition to be on the ballot for the February 2, 2010 General Primary Election.  The ballot for some offices is very crowded with 17 running for the seat being vacated by Senator Burris: 9 Republicans, 7 Democrats and 1 Green.

Attached is a list of those running for office.  It includes the US Senate, US House of Representatives, all state-wide offices, Illinois Senate and Illinois House of Representatives.  For other offices with candidates in the General Primary, please go to the State Board of Elections web site – www.elections.il.gov
